Behind the Screen

A groundbreaking comic book series by young people, for young people, created in Scotland!

This isn’t your average lecture on passwords and privacy settings. Behind the Screen is packed with action, humour, and relatable moments that will make you think twice about your cyber hygiene. From dodging sneaky scams to phone theft, this series takes you on a thrilling ride through real-world examples of risks young people face—while giving you the tools to secure your devices and online accounts.

Every story, every panel, and every twist was co-created with students who understand the challenges of using digital devices today. Alongside these comics, you’ll find a series of learning and teaching resources to help sharpen your cyber hygiene skills.

Coming Soon: Lesson Plans for Teachers

We’re developing a set of classroom-ready lesson plans and teaching resources to support use of these comics in schools. These will include:

  • Discussion guides aligned with the comics
  • Activities exploring key digital safety themes
  • Printable worksheets and interactive tasks
  • Links to national curriculum objectives

The resources are being designed with input from teachers and education professionals and will be freely available for download soon.
